Local school students are being invited to name the 30-metre-high tower crane supporting the delivery of the $110.2 million Cowra Hospital Redevelopment.
The crane was assembled in late August and will be integral to the next phase of works, including construction of the two-level building.
To help celebrate the crane’s arrival, local primary school children are invited to take part in a “Name the Crane” competition, with the winning name to be placed on the crane as well as a class tour of the site. The Prize includes:
- Class morning tea on site
- Each student to receive PPE (RCC hard hat and vest)
- Official crane naming ceremony including watch the flag with their chosen name hoisted above the crane.
- A signboard hung on Brisbane Street for the duration of the tower crane with the name
The crane’s arrival follows significant progress on site, including the concrete foundations for the ground floor of the new building, which will include the hospital’s main entry and front of house.
Local primary schools are invited to participate, and a winner will be announced in October.
