Early works completion

Work taking place at the rear of the Cowra Hospital is almost finished. The buildings have been removed with the finishing touches to the enabling works to be completed by the end of June 2023.  

The main works contractor is expected to be appointed in the near future. Once appointed the contractor will finalise the design and planning with the project team with construction of the new hospital to begin soon after.

The Cowra Hospital Redevelopment will deliver:
- An emergency department,
-  A general medical and surgery inpatient ward, including spaces to provide palliative care
- A peri-operative service (a range of surgical procedures),
- A maternity unit with a dedicated nursery,
- Ambulatory care (services for outpatients) and Hospital in the Home,
- Oral health (dental clinic),
- Renal dialysis (dialysis treatment for outpatients),
- Oncology (chemotherapy treatments),
- Community and allied health 
- Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol services, 
- Tresillian inpatient beds for new mothers and their babies, 
-  A medical imaging department including a new CT scanner and ultrasound, and
- Staff accommodation.
